Today would have been the annual Wassail in our village.

Wassailing is an annual tradition which involves blessing orchards to ensure a good harvest for the year to come. The celebrations involve music, song, dancing and a recognition of what orchards give to us.

We also have a Wassail Queen and every year I have created a floral crown, this year is no exception.

I hope Maisie Pearson, who would have been our Wassail queen, can still wear it with pride.
